Our fourth SLMS regatta is in the Books. WAR II was a great success. This was one of the toughest regattas from a mental aspect I have ever sailed the conditions where impossible to get a handle on, 0-8 kts of spotty wind with 10-15 degree shifts. Very difficult to find a clear lane to sail in. Ben Marden & Rob Sumner in 452 and Ray Pingree & Stacy Tillqist in 666 seemed to be the only teams who figured it out. Ben & Rob after dusting the cobwebs off of 452 managed to eeek out a 1 point victory over Ray and Stacy. Congratulations to Ben & Rob it was great having you out on the race course again.
Team racing on Sunday was a great way to introduce team racing to some of the sailors who have not team raced before. The racing was close and most of the races were decided on the final beat to the finish.
