Our 3rd day of Fall Frostbiting was a success with our largest
turn out so far. 8 boats came out, some a little later then others, for
four fleet races and four team races. We had a moderate north breeze that
altered
slightly in velocity and direction. Ian and his Dad did a great job setting
a windward leeward course and getting off the fleet races. Sue & Mel
want to remind everyone to be sure the stopper knot in the main halyard
is big enough so that it won't pull through. A lesson they learned the
hard
way.
The course was then changed to a triangle for team racing. We ran 3 on
3 team races followed by 1 on 1 match racing. As expected the team racing
was
quite eventful with all the races being decided on the final beat. Again
Ian and his Dad did a great job organizing the teams on the fly. Sue O'Neil
