Fall Frostbiting
Saturday Sept 27, 2003 Results

It was the perfect day to kick off Fall Frostbiting. A beautiful sunny day with shifty, puffy, northwest winds ranging from 8-18 knts. We ran four fleet races of varying courses, even a downwind start. Ian and his crews dominated the fleet racing while the rest of the fleet fought hard for their finishes. Lance and Ann gave Tom a run for his money until they decided to take a dip in the last race. Following fleet racing, the RC shortened the course and ran 5 Team Races. A few of the boats went in, I think Lance was a little cold after his swim, so we ran two on two. After the first two races Team 2 was down 0-2. A few minor adjustments for Team 2 and the races were back on. Team 2 came back strong and after some excellent team racing they won race 3. Race four and five were just as exciting with Team 1 winning race 4 and Team 2 winning race 5. With lots of mark traps and pass backs, even the people new to team racing really enjoyed it.
