RULES -The regatta will be governed by the 2005-2008 Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of US Sailing and the Vanguard 15 Class Association except as modified below or in the sailing instructions. All competitors must wear a U.S Coast Guard approved PFD while on the water. All boats must have a 15-foot attached bow line.
ELIGIBILITY -
All Vanguard 15 boats from a class approved manufacturer are eligible to register. At least one competitor per boat must be a paid 2006 member of the Vanguard 15 Class. Class membership will be available at registration or at www.v15.org.
ENTRIES - Entries shall be submitted on the Official Entry Form and received with full payment no later than 0900 on Saturday, September 2, 2006. Entry forms are available on the regatta website ( www.spiweb.net/v15/nationals), at the Club, or by mail upon request. Mail completed entry form and fee to:

ENTRY FEE- The entry fee is $90 for entries received by August 18, 2006 and $105 for entries received after that date. Entry fee includes lunches and Saturday and Sunday evening social events, see schedule for details.
REGISTRATION - Each boat must complete registration at CCYC between 1600 and 2000 on Friday, September 1st or between 0730 and 0900 on Saturday, September 2nd.
RACING AREA - Races will be sailed on the open waters of Lake Michigan, East of Montrose Harbor.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS -Sailing instructions will be made available at registration.
SCORING - The Low Point Scoring System in RRS Appendix A4.1 will apply. One completed race will constitute a series. If seven or more races are completed, a boat’s worst score will be discarded subject to RRS A2 .
PRIZES - Prizes will be awarded to the top five skippers and crews, and to the top masters team(combined age of 80 or more), top juniors (both under 18) and top women's team (female skipper and crew). Additional awards will be given in various categories.
