Hairy Scary Team Racing Results
October 26, 2002
CCYC Montrose Harbor
For those of you who did not make the 4th Annual Hairy Scary Regatta, you missed out on the best Team Racing Event on Southern Lake Michigan to date. Besides the cold weather, flat water and a shifty North West breeze provided excellent team racing conditions. The best part was the tight racing all but a few of the races where decided on the final beat. We had 7 Teams compete, completing 2 round robins. Congratulations to Team Frank and Beans: Ben Marden, Stephen Katz and Art Kessler who only lost one race in the first round robin and two races in the second round robin to Win the HS Regatta.
We could not have run this event without the help of Dave Stix and his Race committee volunteers. Bill Faude did a great and fair job of being our Judge for the protests. Thanks to Fleet 43 at CYC for helping with the crash boat. Team Hull Raisers from Madison Wisconsin drove 3 hours the morning of the event, thanks for making the effort we are very happy you attended.
